Who runs the Bangladeshi Embassy?
Khandker Masudul Alam heads the embassy as ambassador; the Belgian list gives 14 March 2025 as the date of the presentation of credentials. Documents checklist

Bangladesh e-passport (application abroad)
- Apply online on the e-passport portal (epassport.gov.bd) and print the confirmation page showing “Application Submitted”
- Book an appointment and attend in person for biometric enrolment (fingerprints, iris scan, photo, signature)
- Bangladeshi national ID card (NID) or a 17-digit online birth registration certificate (English version) – foreign or handwritten birth certificates are not accepted
- Proof of legal status in Belgium (residence permit)
- Reissue: your current passport; lost passport: a police report (GD) with the passport number
- The passport is printed in Dhaka – processing can take several weeks

Closing days
The embassy is closed on Belgian public holidays and on Bangladesh’s national day (26 March). Many offices work reduced hours in summer – call ahead in July and August.
