Who runs the Macedonian Embassy?
According to the Belgian protocol list, North Macedonia is represented by Ambassador Suzana Mehmedi (credentials presented 22 April 2025). This is the bilateral embassy to the Kingdom of Belgium; missions to the European Union or NATO in Brussels are separate offices. Two honorary consulates support Macedonian citizens in other parts of Belgium.

Documents checklist
Prepare these documents before your appointment. The lists are taken from official Macedonian sources:
Passport of North Macedonia (application at a mission abroad)
- Travel document application form, submitted in person – photo, two fingerprints and a digital signature are taken (no fingerprints up to age 12)
- For a first application abroad: citizenship certificate, birth register extract and an identity document (from North Macedonia or your country of residence)
- A residence permit, if required for your status in the country of residence
- Lost or stolen passport: police report translated into Macedonian and a signed statement
- Fee: €30 for adults over 27 (€27 aged 4–27, €25 under 4); valid 10 years from age 27

Do Belgian citizens need a visa for North Macedonia?
Belgian citizens do not need a visa for short tourist stays in North Macedonia; according to the Belgian Foreign Ministry, a valid identity card (eID) or passport is accepted. Details: Belgian Foreign Ministry – travel documents by country.
Closing days
The embassy is closed on Belgian public holidays as well as on the Macedonian national day, 2 August. If your visit falls close to a holiday, confirm by phone or e-mail.
