Visa and entry information for Belgian citizens

Belgian citizens need a visa for the Republic of the Congo, to be obtained before travelling. Details: Belgian Foreign Ministry – travel documents by country.

Closing days

The embassy is closed on Belgian public holidays; Congolese celebrations on 15 August (national day) usually mean a closure too. Check before visiting in the weeks around Christmas, Easter and in July/August.

Emergency assistance

Congolese nationals in urgent need of help can reach the embassy on +32 2 648 38 56. The embassy can help with lost passports, arrests and serious accidents, but it cannot cover costs or interfere with Belgian authorities. The Belgian emergency number is 112 (police: 101).
