2. Hosting and server log files
The website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich GmbH, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. When you open a page, the web server automatically records technical data in log files: the page requested, date and time, the amount of data transferred, the referring page, your browser and operating system and your IP address. This data is needed to deliver the website and to keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest). Log files are deleted by the hosting provider after a short period. The hosting provider processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement and is located in Germany.
3. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”), to understand how the site is used – for example which pages are visited and from which countries. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses; IP addresses are truncated before storage. Google may transfer data to servers in the United States; this transfer is based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Analytics cookies are used on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) where consent is required by law. You can prevent collection by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser. More information: Google privacy policy.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We intend to finance this directory with advertisements delivered by Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited). AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to show advertisements and to measure their performance. Where required by law, personalised advertising is only shown with your consent, which you can give or refuse in the consent dialogue; without consent only non-personalised advertisements are displayed. Google’s use of advertising cookies is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads, and you can manage advertising personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
5. Google Maps
Pages about individual missions embed a map from Google Maps to show the location. When a map is loaded, your browser connects to Google’s servers and transmits your IP address and the page you are viewing; Google may set cookies. We use the maps on the basis of our legitimate interest in showing where a mission is located (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Google’s privacy policy applies to this processing.
6. Contact form, error reports and visitor experiences
You can write to us by e-mail or through the contact form, report an error on a page or share your experience of a visit. The text you enter, the optional name you give and the time of submission are stored in the website’s database so that we can read and answer the message or publish the contribution after review. We do not store your IP address or e-mail address with contributions and reports. Messages sent by e-mail are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
7. Cookies
Technically necessary cookies may be set to remember a consent decision or to secure forms. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set as described in sections 3 and 4. You can delete cookies at any time and set your browser to refuse them; some functions of the site may then not work.
8. Your rights
You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw the consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, write to contact@embassies-consulates.com.
9. External links
This directory links to the official websites of embassies, consulates and ministries. We have no influence on the content or the data processing of these external sites; their own privacy policies apply.
10. Changes
We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
