About the Embassy of France in Ukraine

The ambassador is Brice Roquefeuil, according to the directory of foreign diplomatic missions published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (October 2026), which gives 30 July 2026 as the date credentials were presented. The office is in the capital, Kyiv, about 29 km in a straight line from Boryspil International Airport. Do French citizens need a visa for Ukraine?

Holders of ordinary French passports do not need a visa for stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period in Ukraine, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine’s entry-regime table (as of 8 June 2023). Ukraine is not part of the Schengen area and applies its own visa rules.
