Do Georgian citizens need a visa for Mexico?

Citizens of Georgia appear on the list of nationalities that need a visa to travel to Mexico, published by Mexico’s National Migration Institute (INM). According to the same page, a valid visa, or permanent residence, of Canada, the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom or a Schengen country can replace the Mexican visa for tourism, business or transit.

Documents checklist

What Georgian citizens usually need to bring for the most common requests, based on official Georgian government information:

Georgian biometric passport (application at a consulate)

  • Book an appointment and apply in person – photo, fingerprints and signature are taken at the consulate
  • A copy of your current identity document (passport or ID card)
  • A passport photo (upload it when booking online or bring it on a USB stick)
  • If your name changed through marriage or divorce abroad: the apostilled supporting document
  • Prepared within about 45 days via a consulate; valid 10 years for adults
  • Alternative: citizens abroad can reuse their existing biometric data via the online service of the Public Service Development Agency
