Closing days
The nunciature is normally closed on the public holidays observed in Lithuania – New Year’s Day (1 January), Day of Restoration of the State of Lithuania (16 February), Day of Restoration of Independence (11 March), Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, International Workers’ Day (1 May), Mother’s Day (first Sunday in May), Father’s Day (first Sunday in June), St John’s Day / Midsummer (24 June), Statehood Day (6 July), Assumption Day (15 August), All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day (1 and 2 November), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the second day of Christmas (24–26 December). Lithuania does not move holidays that fall on a weekend; Easter follows the Western calendar.
