About the High Commission of India in Malta

The high commissioner is Rachita Bhandari. Santa Venera lies about 3 km in a straight line from Valletta, and about 4 km from Malta International Airport in Luqa.

From the high commission’s website

Every Wednesday from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm the high commission holds an “open house”, where Indian nationals can meet officials about long-pending consular issues; bring your Indian passport to enter. It is not meant for regular services, status or procedural enquiries. Indian passport applications are started online on the Global Passport Seva portal (version 2.0); since 1 September 2025 an ICAO-compliant photograph must be uploaded with the application.
