The ambassador is Nikolay Zhumakanov; the Cypriot Diplomatic List (October 2026) gives 21 February 2025 as the date of accreditation. One honorary consulate – in Nicosia – supports Kazakh citizens.

Passport of Kazakhstan while staying abroad
- Completed application, submitted to the embassy or consulate
- Your current Kazakh passport if you are exchanging it (for a first passport: the old Soviet passport as proof of citizenship)
- Proof of your situation abroad (permanent residence, study, work, marriage or long-term treatment) – original and copy
- Certificate of non-citizenship from the host country, if it issues one
- Proof of payment of the consular fee
- Processing: up to 90 calendar days from receipt of the documents

Closing days
The embassy is normally closed on the public holidays observed in Cyprus – 1 January, Epiphany (6 January), Green Monday, Greek Independence Day (25 March), Cyprus National Day (1 April), Orthodox Good Friday, Easter Monday, 1 May, Kataklysmos (Whit Monday), the Assumption (15 August), Cyprus Independence Day (1 October), Ochi Day (28 October) and Christmas (25 and 26 December); Easter and the related holidays follow the Orthodox calendar. It is usually also closed on Kazakhstan’s national day (25 October).
