Documents checklist

The most frequent applications and the documents the Kosovar authorities ask for:

Kosovo passport (application at a mission abroad)

  • Apply in person – postal applications are not possible because of the photo and electronic signature
  • Adults: a copy of your Kosovo ID card (your data must be in the civil registry) and proof of payment of the consular fee
  • Minors: appear with both parents, birth extract (and ID copy from age 16); an absent parent can authorise the other at the mission
  • Lost passport abroad: police report – the mission verifies it before issuing the new document
  • Urgent return: one-way travel document valid 30 days
