Dutch citizens need a visa for Lebanon, which can be obtained on arrival. The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs publishes the current entry rules in its travel advice (in Dutch); check it before booking.

Closing days

Like most offices in the Netherlands, the embassy closes on public holidays – including Easter Monday, King’s Day and Christmas; the Lebanese national day (22 November) usually means a closure too. Many missions also close on their own national and religious holidays – call ahead.

Emergency assistance

For emergencies, the embassy’s number is +31 70 365 89 06. The embassy can help with lost passports, arrests and serious accidents, but it cannot cover costs or interfere with Dutch authorities. In the Netherlands, the emergency number is 112; for non-urgent police matters call 0900 8844.
