About the Namibian Embassy in Geneva
Ambassador Elvis Toolouta Shiweda has headed the embassy since April 2026. Visitors should note that this embassy is in Geneva; Namibia has no separate embassy in Bern.

Entry rules for Swiss citizens travelling to Namibia
Visa rules for Swiss passport holders are set by Namibia; the embassy confirms the current requirements on request. There is currently no FDFA advice against travel to Namibia. See the FDFA travel advice.
Closing days
The embassy is closed on Swiss public holidays and on the Namibian national holiday (21 March). Religious holidays observed in Namibia may lead to further closures.

In serious cases – an accident, a death abroad or a detention – the consular section can advise relatives and liaise with the authorities.
