Visa and entry information for Danish citizens
The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not publish visa rules for individual countries. Its travel advice points out that the authorities of the destination decide on entry rules, and asks Danish citizens to check with that country’s nearest embassy or consulate before departure – for North Macedonia, that means this mission. See the ministry’s travel advice for North Macedonia (in Danish).
Closing days
Like most offices in Denmark, the embassy closes on public holidays – including the Easter days, Ascension Day, Whit Monday, Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s Eve. On the Macedonian national day (8 September) the office is usually closed or holds a reception.
Emergency assistance
In Denmark, the emergency number is 112; the police can be reached on 114 for non-urgent matters. Danish citizens who need help in North Macedonia can contact the Danish embassy accredited to the country or the Danish Foreign Ministry’s 24-hour Global Watch Centre on +45 33 92 11 12.
