Who runs the Ugandan Embassy?
Mirjam Blaak heads the embassy as ambassador; the Belgian list gives 18 June 2013 as the date of the presentation of credentials. Many embassies in Brussels are also accredited to Luxembourg, and some Ugandan diplomats in the city work with the European Union and NATO – these are separate missions with their own staff. One honorary consulate supports Ugandan citizens in other parts of Belgium.

Closing days
The embassy is closed on Belgian public holidays as well as on the Ugandan national day, 9 October. Many offices work reduced hours in summer – call ahead in July and August.
Emergency assistance
In an emergency, Ugandan citizens should call the embassy on +32 2 762 58 25. The embassy can help with lost passports, arrests and serious accidents, but it cannot cover costs or interfere with Belgian authorities. The Belgian emergency number is 112 (police: 101).
