What does the honorary consul in Athens do?

Its jurisdiction is the whole of Greece. Honorary consuls usually work part-time, so a visit needs to be arranged. The office is located in Attica.
The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not publish visa rules for individual countries. It asks Greek citizens travelling outside the EU and the European Economic Area to check with the consular authorities of the country they are visiting before departure – for the Bahamas, that means this mission. See the ministry’s page on visas for Greek citizens (in Greek).
Which Bahamian office issues passports and visas?
For passports, visas and civil status documents, Bahamian citizens contact the Bahamian Embassy in London (accredited to Greece).
Note: The Bahamas has no resident embassy in Athens; its embassy in London is accredited to Greece.
Holidays and closures
Like most offices in Greece, the honorary consulate closes on public holidays – including Clean Monday, Orthodox Easter (Good Friday to Easter Monday), the Assumption (15 August) and Christmas. The Bahamian national day, 10 July, normally means a closure too. If your visit falls close to a holiday, confirm by phone or e-mail.
