About the honorary consulate in Vaduz
The honorary consulate represents Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in Liechtenstein. According to the list of consular missions published by the Protocol of the Liechtenstein Government (2 April 2026), it is headed by Alexander Jeeves (honorary consul; the list gives the date 28 April 1998). No opening hours are published; arrange a visit in advance. To do so, call +423 236 14 77 or e-mail consulate@svg.li.
The office is in Vaduz, the capital, about 81 km from Zurich Airport and about 39 km from the small St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport. Liechtenstein has no airport of its own.
Under Regulation (EU) 2018/1806 (consolidated version of 30 December 2025), citizens of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines do not need a visa for short stays in Liechtenstein and the rest of the Schengen area (up to 90 days in any 180-day period; Annex II).
Which Vincentian office issues passports and visas?
For passports and other formal consular services, Vincentian citizens should ask the honorary consulate which Vincentian mission is responsible.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has no embassy in Liechtenstein, and the Protocol’s list of diplomatic missions (1 September 2026) names no Vincentian embassy accredited to Liechtenstein; contact the honorary consulate for directions.
What can an honorary consul do?
An honorary consul is not a career diplomat but a local resident – often a business person or lawyer – appointed by Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and approved by the host country. Depending on the powers granted, the honorary consul can help Vincentian citizens in an emergency (lost passport, accident, arrest), pass on applications and documents to the embassy, and certify signatures or life certificates. Passports and visas are not issued by an honorary consulate; they remain the responsibility of the embassy or a career consulate.
