Who runs the Chilean Embassy?
According to the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Chile is represented by Ambassador Cristian Rodrigo Antonio Donoso Maluf. Chile and Croatia have had diplomatic relations since 1992 (established 15 April 1992).
Documents checklist
Prepare these documents before your appointment. The lists are taken from official Chilean sources:
Chilean passport (application abroad)
- Book an appointment in the consulate’s online agenda – passport and identity card can be done in the same appointment
- Your Chilean identity card must be valid; if it has expired, renew it together with the passport
- Your previous passport, which is kept and cancelled (if lost: Chilean ID card and police report)
- Photos are usually taken at the consulate
- Minors: both parents, or a recent apostilled notarial authorisation from the absent parent
- Passports are made in Chile – allow several weeks

Visa and entry information for Croatian citizens

Closing days
Like most offices in Croatia, the embassy closes on public holidays – including Easter Monday, the Assumption (15 August), All Saints’ Day, Remembrance Day (18 November), Christmas and St Stephen’s Day. On the Chilean national day (18 September) the office is usually closed or holds a reception.
