Visa and entry information for Belgian citizens

Belgian citizens do not need a visa for short tourist stays in Morocco; a valid passport is required. The Belgian Foreign Ministry keeps the entry rules for Belgians in its travel documents database; check it before booking.

Closing days

Expect the embassy to be closed on Belgian holidays such as 21 July (National Day), 15 August and 11 November; Moroccan celebrations on 30 July (national day) usually mean a closure too. Many offices work reduced hours in summer – call ahead in July and August.

Emergency assistance

In an emergency, Moroccan citizens should call the embassy on +32 2 736 11 00. The embassy can help with lost passports, arrests and serious accidents, but it cannot cover costs or interfere with Belgian authorities. The Belgian emergency number is 112 (police: 101).
