About the Moroccan Embassy in Berlin
The embassy represents the Kingdom of Morocco in Germany. Around 200,000 people of Moroccan origin live in Germany, many in North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse, where the consulates general are located. Morocco is also a key partner for renewable energy and green hydrogen.

Before you fly to Morocco
- A passport valid for at least six months, undamaged and with a complete machine-readable line. The identity card is not accepted, not even on package tours.
- A copy or photo of your passport
- Parents: the children’s birth certificates to prove parenthood
- German-Moroccan dual nationals: German passport plus Moroccan identity card (CNIE)
Visa information
Travelling from Germany to Morocco
German citizens do not need a visa for tourist stays, but must travel with a passport. Travellers with only an identity card are turned back and must take the next flight home; the German Embassy cannot issue a substitute document in that case.
- Damaged passports or an incomplete machine-readable line can lead to refusal.
- You cannot leave Morocco on an expired passport.
- Dual nationals without a valid German passport are not allowed to leave.
