Travelling from Italy to Nicaragua

Closing days
Like most offices in Italy, the embassy closes on public holidays as well as on the Nicaraguan national day, 15 September. The city’s patron saint’s day (Saints Peter and Paul, 29 June) is a local holiday. Many offices work reduced hours in August – call ahead in summer.
Emergency assistance
In an emergency, Nicaraguan citizens should contact the embassy. Consular staff can replace lost travel documents and inform family members; they do not provide legal representation or money. The Italian emergency number is 112.
