Who runs the Serbian Embassy?

Berislav Vekić heads the embassy as ambassador; the Czech diplomatic list gives 12 May 2021 as the date of the presentation of credentials. One honorary consulate – in Brno – supports Serbian citizens.

Which honorary consul covers your region? According to the Czech list:

  • Brno: the regions Jihomoravský, Moravskoslezský, Olomoucký and Zlínský

Documents checklist

What Serbian citizens usually need to bring for the most common requests, based on official Serbian government information:

Serbian passport (application at a mission abroad)

  • Book an appointment where required (eConsulate) and apply in person; the passport is also collected in person or by someone you authorise in writing when applying
  • Identity document – biometric passport, ID card or other public document
  • Certificate of Serbian citizenship (for a first biometric passport or if personal data have changed); the birth certificate is usually obtained by the mission
  • Your previous passport – or a police report if it was lost or stolen
  • Proof of legal residence in the Czech Republic (requested by many missions)
  • Passports are produced in Serbia; the legal processing time for applications abroad is 60 days

Travelling from the Czech Republic to Serbia
