About the Embassy of Slovakia in Serbia
The ambassador is Michal Pavúk, according to the Diplomatic List of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (29 September 2026); the ministry’s Precedence List (14 September 2026) gives 2 February 2024 as the date credentials were presented. Slovakia also has honorary consulates in Bački Petrovac and Niš. The office is in the capital, Belgrade, about 12 km in a straight line from Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport.
Do Slovak citizens need a visa for Serbia?
Citizens of Slovakia with ordinary passports do not need a visa for visits to Serbia of up to 90 days within a six-month period, according to the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ visa regime page; a national identity card can also be used to enter. Serbia is not part of the Schengen area and applies its own visa rules.
Documents checklist
What Slovak citizens usually need to bring for the most common requests, based on official Slovak government information:
Slovak passport (application abroad)
- Book an appointment (many embassies use an electronic booking service) and apply in person (applicants 18+)
- A valid Slovak ID card or Slovak passport as proof of citizenship – a driving licence is not accepted
- Without either: first obtain a Slovak citizenship certificate
- Name changes abroad: the apostilled certificate with Slovak translation
- Passports are produced in Slovakia; lost passport: emergency travel document for the return to Slovakia
