About the South Sudanese Embassy in Berlin
The embassy represents South Sudan, the world’s youngest state, independent since 2011, in Germany. Germany is a major humanitarian donor in South Sudan, where conflict and food insecurity remain severe.
It is South Sudan’s only mission in Germany.

Travelling from Germany to South Sudan
The German Federal Foreign Office warns against all travel to South Sudan. German citizens need a visa, applied for at the embassy in Berlin or online as an e-visa.

- Private travellers may take in or out at most USD 10,000.
- Rules can change at short notice and are sometimes decided case by case.
