Passport for travelling abroad (application at a consulate)
- Book an appointment in the electronic queue of the embassy or consulate; applicants over 12 must attend in person
- Your ID card or previous passport for travelling abroad – original and one copy
- A colour photo on a white background (size as specified by the mission)
- Proof of residence or stay abroad (residence permit or visa), original and copy – optional at some missions
- Men aged 18–60: an up-to-date electronic military registration document from the Reserv+ app, printed
- Consular fee as published by the mission (e.g. US$130 for citizens over 16 at the Embassy in Peru)
Sources: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine – passport for travelling abroad (consular service page) (checked October 2026). Requirements and fees can change and individual posts may ask for more – confirm the current list with the embassy before your visit.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Consular services are provided by registration only. Appointments are booked online through the embassy website. Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also moving more services to its digital “e-Consul” system, which lets you prepare notarial documents in advance and sign them at the consulate.
Book at the office that is responsible for your federal state. An appointment at the wrong office is usually not accepted.
