Do Greek citizens need a visa for Türkiye?

The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not publish visa rules for individual countries. It asks Greek citizens travelling outside the EU and the European Economic Area to check with the consular authorities of the country they are visiting before departure – for Türkiye, that means this mission. Like most offices in Greece, the consulate general closes on public holidays – including Clean Monday, Orthodox Easter (Good Friday to Easter Monday), the Assumption (15 August) and Christmas. On the Turkish national day (29 October) the office is usually closed or holds a reception. If your visit falls close to a holiday, confirm by phone or e-mail.
