Travelling from Denmark to Ukraine
The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not publish visa rules for individual countries. Its travel advice points out that the authorities of the destination decide on entry rules, and asks Danish citizens to check with that country’s nearest embassy or consulate before departure – for Ukraine, that means this mission. Source: Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs – travel advice (Rejsevejledning, in Danish).
Closing days
The embassy is normally closed on Danish public holidays. It is usually also closed on Ukraine’s national day (24 August). If your visit falls close to a holiday, confirm by phone or e-mail.
Emergency assistance
In an emergency, Ukrainian citizens should call the embassy on +45 33 18 56 20. The embassy can help with lost passports, arrests and serious accidents, but it cannot cover costs or interfere with Danish authorities. In Denmark, the emergency number is 112; the police can be reached on 114 for non-urgent matters. Danish citizens who need help in Ukraine can contact the Danish embassy accredited to the country or the Danish Foreign Ministry’s 24-hour Global Watch Centre on +45 33 92 11 12.
