The embassy and its network in France
According to the embassy, it is headed by Jan Emeryk Rosciszewski, Ambassador. In the other direction, about 6,500 French citizens are registered with the French consular network in Poland. Documents checklist
Prepare these documents before your appointment. The lists are taken from official Polish sources:
Polish passport for adults (application abroad)
- Book an appointment in the e-konsulat system and apply in person; collect the passport at the same consular post
- A biometric colour photo – without a suitable photo the consul will not accept the application
- Your valid passport or ID card confirming your identity and Polish citizenship
- For a reduced fee: proof of eligibility (e.g. student, pensioner or Large Family Card); applicants aged 70 or over pay no fee
- While you wait, or in a documented emergency, a temporary passport can be issued

Travelling from France to Poland
As EU citizens, French nationals can travel to Poland without a visa; a valid passport or national identity card is enough. The French Foreign Ministry applies normal vigilance for Poland. Details: French travel advice (Conseils aux voyageurs).
Closing days
Besides French public holidays, the embassy closes on the Polish national holiday (3 May). Call ahead around Christmas and Easter.
Emergency assistance
Polish nationals in urgent need of help can reach the embassy on +33 1 43 17 34 00. Consular staff can replace lost travel documents and inform family members; they do not provide legal representation or money. Local emergency numbers in Poland: police 997, fire brigade 998.
