About the Cameroonian Embassy in Berlin
The embassy represents Cameroon in Germany. Relations go back to the German colonial period before 1916 and today focus on development cooperation, forestry, trade and education. Many Cameroonian students study at German universities.

Before you fly to Cameroon
- A passport valid for at least six months with at least one free page
- A printout of the e-visa approval with its QR code
- A return or onward ticket
- For children: the birth certificate and, if one parent is not travelling, a certified letter of consent, ideally in French
Visa information
Travelling from Germany to Cameroon
German citizens need a visa, which must be applied for online as an e-visa. After approval you receive a QR code.
- Print the approval. Airlines often check it at boarding and may refuse to carry you without it.
- The visa is entered in your passport on arrival when you show the QR code.
- A visa cannot be extended inside Cameroon, so apply for the full length of your stay.
- The German Federal Foreign Office has a partial travel warning for several regions.
