About the Estonian Embassy in Brussels

Helen Kaljuläte heads the embassy as ambassador; the Belgian list gives 5 August 2024 as the date of the presentation of credentials. This is the bilateral embassy to the Kingdom of Belgium; missions to the European Union or NATO in Brussels are separate offices. Two honorary consulates support Estonian citizens in other parts of Belgium.

Closing days

Like most offices in Belgium, the embassy closes on public holidays – including Easter Monday, Ascension Day and Whit Monday and on Estonia’s national day (24 February). If your visit falls close to a holiday, confirm by phone or e-mail.

Emergency assistance

In an emergency, Estonian citizens should call the embassy on +32 2 779 07 55. Consular staff can replace lost travel documents and inform family members; they do not provide legal representation or money. The Belgian emergency number is 112 (police: 101).
