Closing days
Expect the embassy to be closed on Italian national holidays such as 25 April, 2 June and 15 August and on Libya’s national day (23 October). Local holiday: 29 June, the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, patron of the city. Check before visiting around Christmas, Easter and the August holidays (Ferragosto).

In an emergency, Libyan citizens should call the embassy on +39 06 86320951. Embassies can issue emergency travel documents, contact relatives and provide lists of lawyers or doctors; they cannot pay bills or act as a lawyer. The Italian emergency number is 112.
