About the Serbian Embassy in Rome
The ambassador is Mirjana Jeremic, accredited to Italy on 22 February 2024. The Italian diplomatic list names 11 accredited diplomats for the embassy. Serbia also has career consular offices in Milan and Trieste. One honorary consulate supports Serbian citizens in other parts of Italy.

Serbian passport (application at a mission abroad)
- Book an appointment where required (eConsulate) and apply in person; the passport is also collected in person or by someone you authorise in writing when applying
- Identity document – biometric passport, ID card or other public document
- Certificate of Serbian citizenship (for a first biometric passport or if personal data have changed); the birth certificate is usually obtained by the mission
- Your previous passport – or a police report if it was lost or stolen
- Proof of legal residence in Italy (requested by many missions)
- Passports are produced in Serbia; the legal processing time for applications abroad is 60 days

Walk-in capacity is limited, so check the procedure on the embassy website first.
Closing days
The embassy is closed on Italian public holidays; Serbian celebrations on 15 February (national day) usually mean a closure too. The city’s patron saint’s day (Saints Peter and Paul, 29 June) is a local holiday. Check before visiting around Christmas, Easter and the August holidays (Ferragosto).
