About the Ukrainian Embassy in Athens

The embassy is currently led by Vita Holets as chargé d’affaires a.i., according to the Greek Foreign Ministry’s diplomatic list (September 2026). Two honorary consulates – in Patras and Piraeus – support Ukrainian citizens.

Documents checklist

What Ukrainian citizens usually need to bring for the most common requests, based on official Ukrainian government information:

Passport for travelling abroad (application at a consulate)

  • Book an appointment in the electronic queue of the embassy or consulate; applicants over 12 must attend in person
  • Your ID card or previous passport for travelling abroad – original and one copy
  • A colour photo on a white background (size as specified by the mission)
  • Proof of residence or stay abroad (residence permit or visa), original and copy – optional at some missions
  • Men aged 18–60: an up-to-date electronic military registration document from the Reserv+ app, printed
  • Consular fee as published by the mission (e.g. US$130 for citizens over 16 at the Embassy in Peru)
