The embassy is located at Pº de la Castellana, 130, 7º, 28046 Madrid.

The embassy and its network in Spain
Karima Benyaich heads the embassy as ambassador; the Spanish list gives 6 June 2018 as the starting date. The Spanish diplomatic list names 33 accredited diplomats and attachés for the embassy. Besides the chancery, the list shows separate offices of the embassy: defence attaché office. Morocco also has career consular offices in Algeciras, Almería, Barcelona, Bilbao, Girona, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Madrid, Murcia, Palma de Mallorca, Seville, Tarragona and Valencia. Four honorary consulates support Moroccan citizens in other parts of Spain.

Documents checklist
Prepare these documents before your appointment. The lists are taken from official Moroccan sources:
Biometric passport (adults)
- Up-to-date consular registration (immatriculation consulaire)
- Valid CNIE national ID card – original and photocopy – or a copy of the receipt of your CNIE application (then also a birth certificate extract less than 6 months old)
- Your old passport, if you are renewing
- Two identical recent photos, 35 × 45 mm, on a white or light blue background
- Personal appearance is required when you submit the application
Renewing the CNIE national ID card
- Consular registration certificate showing your current address
- Two recent colour photos, 3.5 × 4.5 cm, on a light background
- Your old CNIE (it is handed back)
- For loss or theft: a declaration made to the CNIE officer at the consulate
Consular registration (immatriculation)
- Passport or CNIE (or CNIE receipt) – original and photocopy
- Valid proof of legal residence in Spain (residence permit, long-stay visa, work or study permit)
- Proof of address if the residence document does not show your current address (rental contract, utility bill)
- Two colour passport photos on a white or blue background
- Personal appearance is required

Travelling from Spain to Morocco

Closing days
The embassy is closed on Spanish public holidays as well as on the Moroccan national day, 30 July. Regional holiday to note: the Community of Madrid Day (2 May). Check before visiting around Christmas, Easter (Holy Week) and local fiestas.
