The embassy and its network in Belgium

Visa and entry information for Belgian citizens
Belgian citizens need a visa for Syria, to be obtained before travelling. The Belgian Foreign Ministry keeps the entry rules for Belgians in its travel documents database; check it before booking.
Closing days
Like most offices in Belgium, the embassy closes on public holidays – including Easter Monday, Ascension Day and Whit Monday and on Syria’s national day (17 April). Many offices work reduced hours in summer – call ahead in July and August.

For emergencies, the embassy’s number is +32 2 554 19 20. Embassies can issue emergency travel documents, contact relatives and provide lists of lawyers or doctors; they cannot pay bills or act as a lawyer. The Belgian emergency number is 112 (police: 101).
