Walk-in capacity is limited, so check the procedure on the embassy website first.
Closing days
Expect the embassy to be closed on Italian national holidays such as 25 April, 2 June and 15 August and on Turkmenistan’s national day (27 September). Local holiday: 29 June, the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, patron of the city. If your visit falls close to a holiday, confirm by phone or e-mail.
Emergency assistance
In an emergency, Turkmen citizens should call the embassy on +39 06 8081579. Consular staff can replace lost travel documents and inform family members; they do not provide legal representation or money. The Italian emergency number is 112.
