Documents checklist

The most frequent applications and the documents the Philippine authorities ask for:

Renewing a Philippine ePassport abroad

  • A confirmed online appointment (not needed for the courtesy lane, e.g. children aged 7 and under)
  • Completed application form; personal appearance is required for biometrics
  • Your current ePassport (original) and a photocopy of the data page
  • If your name has changed: original PSA documents (e.g. marriage certificate or annotated birth certificate)
  • Lost valid passport: police report in English, notarised affidavit of loss and a penalty fee
  • Renew early – several embassies recommend 8–9 months before expiry

Requirements and fees can change and individual posts may ask for more – confirm the current list with the embassy before your visit.

Visa and entry information for Danish citizens

The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not publish visa rules for individual countries. Its travel advice points out that the authorities of the destination decide on entry rules, and asks Danish citizens to check with that country’s nearest embassy or consulate before departure – for the Philippines, that means this mission. Other consulates and embassies in Denmark

106 other countries are represented in Denmark, among them: Albania (embassy), Algeria (embassy), Argentina (embassy), Australia (embassy), Austria (embassy), Bangladesh (embassy), Belgium (embassy), Bosnia and Herzegovina (embassy), Brazil (embassy), Bulgaria (embassy), Burkina Faso (embassy), Canada (embassy), Chile (embassy), China (embassy), Colombia (embassy), Croatia (embassy), Cuba (embassy), Cyprus (embassy), Czech Republic (embassy), Côte d’Ivoire (embassy). The full list of all 107 missions is on the overview page for Denmark.

Closing days

Expect the embassy to be closed on Danish public holidays such as Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Whit Monday and Constitution Day (5 June). The Philippine national day, 12 June, normally means a closure too.

Emergency assistance

In Denmark, the emergency number is 112; the police can be reached on 114 for non-urgent matters. Danish citizens who need help in the Philippines can contact the Danish embassy accredited to the country or the Danish Foreign Ministry’s 24-hour Global Watch Centre on +45 33 92 11 12.
