About the Peruvian Embassy in Berlin
The embassy represents Peru in Germany. Machu Picchu, Cusco and the Amazon draw many German travellers, and Peru is an important supplier of raw materials and agricultural products such as coffee and avocados.

Before you fly to Peru
- A passport valid for at least six months on entry – otherwise you are turned back, even for short trips
- A return or onward ticket, which is sometimes requested
- For overland travel on to Ecuador: a German police certificate of good conduct
Visa information
Travelling from Germany to Peru
German citizens do not need a visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days per six months.
- Entry at airports and cruise terminals is recorded electronically; your permitted stay is usually only told to you orally. Ask for the number of days you need.
- Overstaying costs PEN 5 per day, payable before you can leave.
- At land borders, make sure your entry is registered; unregistered entries can delay your departure by ten days or more.

Peruvian citizens can visit Germany without a visa for up to 90 days within any 180 days.

Closing days
The embassy is closed on German public holidays in Berlin and on Peruvian holidays, including the national holidays (Fiestas Patrias) on 28–29 July.
