About the Thai Embassy in Warsaw
Sira Swangsilpa heads the embassy as ambassador; the Polish protocol list gives 27 March 2026 as the date of the presentation of credentials. One honorary consulate – in Krakow – supports Thai citizens outside the capital.
Consular services
The consular section typically handles:
- Thai passports and emergency travel documents
- Certification and legalisation of documents
- Powers of attorney and notarial acts
- Citizenship and civil register matters
- Help for citizens in difficulty – illness, arrest or loss of documents
Documents checklist
Prepare these documents before your appointment. The lists are taken from official Thai sources:
Thai e-passport (application abroad)
- Book an appointment and apply in person – biometric data are taken, so postal applications are not possible
- Your valid Thai national ID card (adults without one must first obtain it in Thailand)
- Your current passport – or a police report if it was lost
- The application form (and a photo where requested)
- Minors under 20: Thai birth certificate, both parents present or their documented consent
- Allow about 4–6 weeks
Sources: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand – e-passport application for Thai nationals living abroad, Royal Thai Embassy Brussels – Thai passport (checked October 2026). Requirements and fees can change and individual posts may ask for more – confirm the current list with the embassy before your visit.
Do I need an appointment?
Walk-in capacity is limited, so check the procedure on the website first.
Travelling from Poland to Thailand
Polish citizens do not need a visa for short tourist stays in Thailand (up to 30 days), according to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs; a valid passport is required. The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs publishes the current entry rules in its travel advice (in Polish); check it before booking.
Closing days
Expect the embassy to be closed on Polish holidays such as Constitution Day (3 May), Independence Day (11 November) and Christmas Eve (24 December) and on Thailand’s national day (5 December). If your visit falls close to a holiday, confirm by phone or e-mail.
Emergency assistance
For emergencies, the embassy’s number is +48 22 849 26 55. The embassy can help with lost passports, arrests and serious accidents, but it cannot cover costs or interfere with Polish authorities. In Poland, the emergency number is 112. Polish citizens who need help in Thailand should contact the Polish embassy or consulate responsible for the country; the Polish Foreign Ministry’s Odyseusz service lists the contacts and lets travellers register their trip.
