Who runs the Hungarian Embassy?
The embassy is currently led by Adrienn Maria Tothne Ferenci as chargé d’affaires a.i. (diplomatic rank: minister). Many embassies in Brussels are also accredited to Luxembourg, and some Hungarian diplomats in the city work with the European Union and NATO – these are separate missions with their own staff. Two honorary consulates support Hungarian citizens in other parts of Belgium.

Walk-in capacity is limited, so check the procedure on the embassy website first.
Closing days
Like most offices in Belgium, the embassy closes on public holidays – including Easter Monday, Ascension Day and Whit Monday as well as on the Hungarian national day, 15 March. Many offices work reduced hours in summer – call ahead in July and August.
Emergency assistance
Hungarian nationals in urgent need of help can reach the embassy on +32 2 348 18 00. Embassies can issue emergency travel documents, contact relatives and provide lists of lawyers or doctors; they cannot pay bills or act as a lawyer. The Belgian emergency number is 112 (police: 101).
