Do I need an appointment?
Walk-in capacity is limited, so check the procedure on the website first.
Closing days
Like most offices in Poland, the embassy closes on public holidays – including Easter Monday, Corpus Christi and All Saints’ Day (1 November); the Romanian national day (1 December) usually means a closure too. Check before visiting in the weeks around Christmas and Easter.
Emergency assistance
For emergencies, the embassy’s number is +48 22 628 05 08. The embassy can help with lost passports, arrests and serious accidents, but it cannot cover costs or interfere with Polish authorities. In Poland, the emergency number is 112. Polish citizens who need help in Romania should contact the Polish embassy or consulate responsible for the country; the Polish Foreign Ministry’s Odyseusz service lists the contacts and lets travellers register their trip.
