About the Embassy of Equatorial Guinea in Berlin
The embassy is the only mission of Equatorial Guinea in Germany. The country, the only Spanish-speaking state in Africa, consists of the mainland region Río Muni and the island of Bioko, where the capital Malabo lies. Oil and gas dominate its economy.

- An e-visa if you arrive by air; arriving by land, a visa from the Equatorial Guinean embassy in the country you are coming from

Visa information
Travelling from Germany to Equatorial Guinea
German citizens need a visa, which must be obtained before travel. If you arrive by air, apply online for an e-visa.
- For overland entry, apply at the embassy of Equatorial Guinea in the neighbouring country you enter from.
- Foreign currency must be declared. You may take out at most 50,000 CFA francs in cash.
- Binoculars, professional cameras, uniform-like clothing and books or films about war and terror may not be brought in.
Travelling from Equatorial Guinea to Germany
Citizens of Equatorial Guinea need a Schengen visa. Germany has no embassy in Malabo; ask the German Embassy in Yaoundé, Cameroon, where to apply.
