Moving to Honduras
- Apply for the residence visa at the embassy before you travel

Visa information
Travelling from Germany to Honduras
German citizens do not need a visa for up to 90 days. The exact length of stay is decided by the border officer and written in your entry stamp.
- You must have both entry and exit stamps. Missing stamps can lead to fines of up to USD 250.
- Within the CA-4 area (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua), extensions are possible up to a total stay of 120 days via the Instituto Nacional de Migración.
- Your passport must be valid for six months on arrival.
- Changing from tourist to resident status after arrival is allowed but not recommended.

Honduran citizens can visit Germany without a visa for up to 90 days within any 180 days.
